The first thing everyone wants to know is “how much?”… here we explain what goes into pricing your dent repair.
Unfortunately, it’s not as simple as giving a generic price for all repairs as all dents and vehicles are different. Dent Medic Pdr would love to explain to you how we price our repairs and break down the process.
Breaking it all down
Many different contributing factors are considered when pricing a repair. Firstly, we are looking at the size of the dent, we measure this by length. There are many types of dents and repairs, but we will always start the process with the length of the dent. The next factor we consider is the depth of the damage. Is it a crease dent? With deep or creased dents being more time consuming to repair this will affect the final quote.
The next major factor we are looking at is the location of the dent. Is the dent on a body line or flat panel? Body lines are the strongest part of the panel, this means that the process to repair them takes a little longer.
Your location
Whilst keeping location in mind we then need to think about access to the dent and our repair method. Can we get to the underside of the dent? And if so, do we need to remove any parts of the vehicle to do this? Certain panels on the car have much easier access to the back of the panel than others, this also differs from each make and model of vehicle.
Once location has been determined we can think about our repair process. Do we need to use Paintless dent repair methods or Glue pull repair methods? If we know that access to the back of the panel is limited or non-existent then we will opt for using Glue pull repair methods.
Your vehicle
Lastly, we will be looking at the metal your vehicle is manufactured from. There are more different metals used in vehicles now than ever before. Steel being the most common and generally the easiest to move. Whereas high strength steel is thicker and tougher to get moving, meaning a longer repair time. The last metal we commonly see is aluminium, this makes our repair process change as the metal has different properties. Aluminium is seven times harder to move, meaning seven times more work!

Once we have gathered all these factors, they will then be entered into our industry specific system called Mobile Tech RX. By using this system, we are sticking to industry standard pricing and giving the customer the most accurate price possible.
When we have produced your quote it will be shown as a full break down of the factors we have considered. By doing this you can see exactly what makes up the final price and what you are getting for your money.
