Repair Process

After assessing the damage to make sure there was no underlying issues. We started by working out the best plan to remove this dent in the most efficient way. Removing the tailgate interior trim which showed plenty of access to allow us to work the dent from the underside. We knew that this was the best process to use.

Once set up we started pushing the dent from the underside with a large rubber tipped dent removal rod. This was used to remove the bulk of the damage and reduce the dent down until we were left with a small dent where the impact point was. We then addressed our high areas (crowns) before starting to remove the smaller dent left with a sharper dent removal rod. Using our quality control board we thoroughly inspected the panel to make sure it was back or original factory condition.

Following the dent removal process we refitted the interior tailgate trim. A complementary polish of the panel was then completed to finish of the job.
