Paintless dent removal or PDR for short is a technique used to carefully remove dents from your vehicles body work without the use of any paints or fillers. How the Dent Magician/Paintless Dent Removal Process Works
Assess the Damage
Firstly, before anything else is done, the dent technician asses the dent.. He will find any problems that may appear and figure out how to deal with them. In general, this helps your dent specialist find the best approach to repair your dent.
Gain Access
To make the repair as efficient as possible the technician will find a point of access to the back of the affected panel. This may include removing some items such as tail lights or trims. Repair the Dent Damage
Lastly, special PDR tools are utilized to massage the dent from the back of the panel. This process can take anywhere from 30 mins to a few hours. Also, high spots can form from the persistent massaging which then need carefully tapping down. The combination of specialist hammers and massaging from the underside is generally used by all dent specialist.
